Backup quarterback on the Eagles but messiah to the masses, Nick Foles will most likely hit free agency after today. (February 27th, 2019)
Eagles executive Howie Roseman told media today that Foles will not be franchise tagged and will become a free agent. Foles two seasons ago now led the underdog Eagles to defeat Tom Brady in Super Bowl LII. Taking over the role for starter Carson Wentz again this last season, the season came to an abrupt halt in Louisiana when Alshon Jefferey dropped a perfect pass from the messiah Nick Foles.
Foles will most likely be shopped by teams such as the Jaguars, Giants, Bucks, or anyone with no hope what so ever in their own quarterback position. I would not be surprised to see the backup phenom steer clear of anything less than a max contract as he has already etched his legacy into football history.
