Week 3 is finally here at long last. After 4 solid games last Friday, this weekend begins on Saturday with the Salt Lake Stallions hosting the undefeated Arizona Hotshots at 2 PM CT on B/R Live. The late game starts at 7 PM CT in Orlando with the Apollos taking on Mike Singletary’s Express on NFL Network.

Sunday’s action kicks off at 3 PM CT with the Birmingham Iron hosting the Atlanta Legends on CBS Sports Network. Finally the nightcap of Sunday night features the The San Antonio Commanders traveling to San Diego to take on the Fleet at 7 PM on NFL Network.

AAF Opening lines for Week 3 (per )

Arizona Hotshots @ Salt Lake Stallions +3.5 O/U 46

Memphis Express @ Orlando Apollos -14 O/U 45.5

Birmingham Iron @ Atlanta Legends +6 O/U 40

San Antonio Commanders @ San Diego Fleet -1.5 O/U 43.5

Our Picks:

Austin Felts (0-0 ATS, 0-0 O/U):

Arizona Hotshots @ Salt Lake Stallions +3.5 O/U 46

– While I am expecting a phenomenal turnout in Salt Lake, I think the bottom line is that the dominating performance shown by Arizona in Week 1 was NOT a fluke.

Arizona Wins, Arizona -3.5 and Over

Birmingham Iron @ Atlanta Legends +6 O/U 40

– I think this is the week that Atlanta figures it out. With stars like Akrum Wadley producing and starting to get a little bit of momentum, this is the week the Legends put it all together. Not only are the Legends going to cover, but they will shut down Trent Richardson and Co. and get the W.

Atlanta Wins, Atlanta +6 and Under 40

San Antonio Commanders @ San Diego Fleet -1.5 O/U 43.5

– While the first game between these two was a close game that was marred but turnovers, I think taking San Antonio out of the Alamodome is the equivalent of taking the Saints out of the Superdome. San Diego will clean up the sloppy mistakes and hand the Commanders their first loss.

San Diego Wins, San Diego -1.5 and Under 43.5

LOCK: Memphis Express @ Orlando Apollos -14 O/U 45.5

– Orlando at home against a Christian Hackenberg led team? Use your brain. With the best secondary in the Alliance coupled with the offensive juggernaut developing with Gilbert,

Orlando Wins, Orlando -14 and Over 45.5

Prediction: Orlando Apollos 35 – Memphis Express 15

Grant Caravelli (0-0 ATS, 0-0 O/U)

Memphis Express @ Orlando Apollos -14 O/U 45.5

Orlando Wins, Orlando -14 and Under 45.5
Birmingham Iron @ Atlanta Legends +6 O/U 40

Birmingham Wins, Birmingham -6 and Under 40

San Antonio Commanders @ San Diego Fleet -1.5 O/U 43.5

San Antonio Wins, San Antonio +1.5 and Under 43.5

LOCK: Arizona Hotshots @ Salt Lake Stallions +3.5 O/U 46

– Arizona is 2-0 and going to an 0-2 Salt Lake team that has shown they can score points and compete in games. However, Arizona’s playmakers and speed demons will be able to stretch the field and give Salt Lake a lot of trouble, much like what happened in week 1. That’s right, remember when the Hotshots hung 38 on the Stallions week 1 and won by 16, I see a slightly more competitive repeat to that game going on here now that they have started to run my dude Justin Stockton and show him off.

Arizona wins, Arizona -3.5, POUNDING THE OVER OF 46

Prediction: Arizona 36 – Salt Lake 24
